SEO Training Class to Follow Search Engine Strategies Chicago

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 25, 2007

SEO-PR and Searching for Profit today announced that they will offer an SEO training class focused on “Getting found in all the right places” following the Search Engine Strategies Conference & Expo 2007 in Chicago (http://www.searchenginestrategies.com/chicago/training.html). Greg Jarboe of SEO-PR and Amanda Watlington of Searching for Profit will teach the half-day search engine optimization training class at the Chicago Hilton on Friday, December 7, 2007, following the SES Chicago event.

According to Jarboe, “Universal search changes everything! The advent of Google’s Universal Search has been called the most radical change to its search results ever.”

Watlington adds, “So, how do you take advantage of Google’s new approach, which blends listings from news, blog, video, and image search among those it gathers from web search? In other words, how do you get found in all the right places?”

The SEO training class, which will run from 8 a.m. to noon, is designed to answer these questions. It is for public relations professionals as well as search engine marketers, who both need to understand how to optimize content for Google News, Yahoo! News, Google Blog Search, Technorati, Google Image Search, Flickr, YouTube, Yahoo! Video and a growing variety of other sites.

During this workshop, participants will learn how to:

Pick target keywords for news, blog, image, video and web search engines;
Position keywords in crucial locations;
Create original and unique content of genuine value, including text, images and video;
Avoid search engine stumbling blocks;
Build inbound links intended to help people find interesting, related content;
Just say no to search engine spamming;
Submit a Sitemap, RSS feeds, and videos to search engines and directories;
Verify and maintain listings; and
Go beyond web search engines to include key vertical search engines.

After attending this half-day workshop, search engine marketers and public relations professionals will be able to optimize, distribute and measure:

Press releases
RSS feeds
Images
Video files

The SEO training class can be taken in addition to the Search Engine Strategies Chicago conference, which runs December 3-6, 2007, or independently. There is an additional cost to attend – a half-day pass is 5.

                Rosemont, IL (PRWEB) August 08, 2011

                Seldom-seen national treasures from the Smithsonian Institution will be displayed for the first time in the Chicago area at the American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money(SM) in the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Hall F, in Rosemont, August 16 – 20, 2011. The five-day educational, family event showcasing over billion of the world’s most famous rare coins and colorful paper money will be open to the public.

                Eye-opening, multi-million dollar exhibits include a unique, Gold Rush-era 1849-dated “Double Eagle” ( denomination) and other historic gold coins from the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. The U.S. Treasury Department Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s “Billion Dollar Display” will feature 0,000 bills and other rare, high-denomination antique currency. An extensive exhibit of century-old Illinois bank notes from private collections, never publicly displayed together before now, traces the financial history of the state.

                “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many people to see these extraordinary, valuable treasures in person,” said Larry Shepherd, Executive Director of the nonprofit, 30,000-member American Numismatic Association (http://www.money.org). The Congressionally chartered association is dedicated to educating and encouraging people to study and collect money and related items.

                “Money is history you can hold in your hands,” said association President Clifford Mishler of Iola, Wisconsin. “You can see everything from a half-cent to a 0,000 bill at this event, even a .5 million 1913 Liberty nickel a Milwaukee man used to carry in his pocket to show to strangers. The Smithsonian’s exhibit, “Good as Gold: America’s Double Eagles,” tells the story of the USA’s denomination gold coin. It includes the unique, first-such-coin struck in 1849 during the early days of the Gold Rush, and an example of the famous 1933 Double Eagle like the ones involved in a recent federal court case. It’s the only time this exhibit from the National Numismatic Collection in Washington, D.C. is scheduled for display in Illinois.

                The fascinating billion Bureau of Engraving and Printing educational display includes two dozen 0,000 currency notes, the highest denomination paper money ever made by the U.S. government, and demonstrations of a Civil War-era, one-ton, hand-turned money printing press.

                Representatives of 15 government mints from around the world will showcase their country’s money, and Stack’s Bowers Galleries will conduct a public auction of rare coins.

                    Elixir Interactive CEO Fionn Downhill Presenting at SES Chicago

                    Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) October 7, 2010

                    Elixir Interactive President and CEO, Fionn Downhill, is scheduled to speak at two sessions during the SES Chicago Conference and Expo. Downhill will speak about Online Reputation Management and about Digital Asset Optimization during the three day industry event.

                    This search and social marketing convention takes place October 18-22, 2010 at the Hilton Chicago. It offers over 70 panel sessions, training workshops and an industry expo. The event has something for all skill levels on subjects including search engine optimization, link building, social media, PPC management, site usability, mobile search, and much more.

                    Downhill is excited about the prospect of speaking at SES. Earlier this year Elixir Interactive published a case study detailing an ongoing attack on their company’s online reputation. Downhill will be sharing insights and tips from the case study during her presentation on Brand, Trademark & Reputation.

                    “I’m looking forward to sharing our results with the larger search community,” Downhill remarked. “The campaign against our company was very focused and persistent. It underlined just how easy it is for someone to use false accusations to damage a reputation. The strategies we developed to combat this attack can help others who are the subject of similar attacks.”

                    The Reputation panel will be held on Day 1 of the Conference, October 19, 2010. In addition, Downhill will be drawing on her years of experience in search engine optimization to present on Digital Asset Optimization on Day 3 (October 21st). She will also be moderating a panel entitled “Selling Search to the C-Suite,” also on October 21st.
